Dorchester Bay City (DBC) proposes to redevelop approximately 19.9-acres of land located at 200 Mt. Vernon Street and 13.6 acres of land at 2 Morrissey Boulevard in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The project site will be redeveloped with approximately 5,900,000 sf of gross floor area over 18 buildings, including 1,740 residential units, 155,000 sf of retail space, and 4,008,000 sf of office, research and development, life sciences and academic uses. The development will also include approximately 22.16 acres of new open space and a new street circulation system to accommodate pedestrians, vehicles, and bicyclists. DBC will be transformative for the Columbia Point peninsula by creating a new destination that enhances the existing institutions on Columbia Point. By providing new public spaces with improved access to the Harborwalk, DBC will serve as a catalyst for a wide range of community benefits, including significant investments in job training, affordable housing, infrastructure and resiliency, and support for nonprofits.
